Are You Prepared to Respond? An accident can happen anytime, anywhere. And in a serious medical emergency, every second counts. You’ll gain the knowledge and skills, and above all the confidence to help someone in need and become an essential link in the chain of survival, during the critical moments between a life-threatening emergency occurring and emergency medical services arriving. Through a combination of flexible online self-study and hands-on skill practice, you’ll learn how to identify and respond to life-threatening emergencies and how to perform CPR (primary care), and how to handle injuries or illnesses that are not immediately life-threatening (secondary care). There are no age restrictions or required scuba certifications to enrol.
