That’s what the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is all about. You don’t have to be “advanced” to take it – it’s designed to advance your dive training, so you can start right after earning your PADI Open Water Diver certification. The Advanced Open Water course taught by Dolphin Diving Center Skiathos increases your confidence and builds your scuba diving skill set, giving you the ability and knowledge to expand your underwater horizons and enjoy open water diving like never before.
It really is a course about diving. There are no pool sessions and no final exam! You’ll make 5 dives, each focusing on different specialities. There are two required dives – Underwater Navigation and Deep (18-30 metres) – and you’ll choose another three from a range of options depending on what most grabs your interest.
Before each of the adventure dives you’ll read through the corresponding section in the eLearning manual, then plan and make the dive safely under the supervision of your PADI Instructor, applying your new knowledge and skills as you go.
And getting your PADI Advanced Open Water Divert certification unlocks a whole world of new diving possibilities, allowing you to visit sites (like ship wrecks, deep walls, and drift dives) that as an Open Water Diver you can’t as they are classed as “advanced” and beyond your limits.
What you do after the course is up to you, but for sure you’re going to have a lot of exciting adventures and a lot of fun doing them!
