Daily Boat Dives
At Dolphin Diving Center Skiathos, all our dives are fun!
We offer daily morning and afternoon dive trips for certified divers by boat to one of our more than 30 different dive sites around Skiathos and its surrounding islands. All our sites are easy to reach on our comfortable, purpose-built 10 metre covered dive boat, most within a short 10-15 minute ride. Refreshments and fresh fruit are provided on the boat, as well as our legendary fresh coffee (or tea) offered at the base.
Dives are planned for 50 minutes – 1 hour, depending on air consumption (but don’t worry, we also have 15 litre tanks available if you need a few dives to find your breathing rhythm!).
Dive excursions may be planned as one-tank or two-tank trips, depending on the weather conditions, the interest of the participants, and the choice of the specific dive sites.
For Dolphin Diving Center, safety is always the overriding consideration, so the final decision for the best dive site for each day depends on the weather conditions, tailored also to the level and experience of our guests. That said, if you have dived Skiathos before and have a particular favourite, we will do our best to get you there if the conditions are right!
We also arrange night dives upon request (subject to a minimum number of participants) to see our reefs in a completely different light.
We regularly schedule dive trips to the wreck of the Vera (depending on weather conditions, and subject to a minimum number of participants). Please note that as the wreck lies at a greater depth, participants must hold a minimum Advanced Open Water Diver certification, or be involved in a training course for this dive.
In the interests of transparency, full equipment (regulators, bcd, mask, fins, wetsuit, tank, and weights) is provided without additional charge for each dive. If you would like to bring your own equipment you are welcome to store it safely at the dive centre for the duration of your stay on the island.
For the safety and personal enjoyment of all our dive buddies, certified divers and student divers are always in separate small groups, each with their own experienced instructor to guide them.
If you would like to make a day of it and join us for both our morning and afternoon excursions, Tzaneria Beach is the perfect setting to relax between dives, with full amenities and boasting the incomparable Baracoa Beach Bar that offers a wide range of refreshments and snacks as well as fine dining options. The beach is also a very safe and relaxing spot for any non-divers in your party to enjoy the time while you’re away swimming with the fishies!
Alternatively, of course, they are also welcome to join you on the boat, either just to come along for the ride, or to have a snorkelling adventure of their own.
