Short on time but still keen to get certified? The PADI Scuba Diver Course could be the answer. Using the same format and materials as the full Open Water Diver course, it is an entry-level certification that only takes 2 or 3 days. You’ll still receive a certification card that allows you to dive anywhere in the world, but under the direct supervision of a PADI professional and to a maximum depth of 12 meters. Essentially, it is a stepping stone to the more comprehensive PADI Open Water Diver certification designed for those who want to learn how to scuba dive but have limited time or are not ready to commit to the full Open Water Diver course.
It’s the perfect course if you want to do your diving with a dive centre, and aren’t motivated to go very deep.
After completing the course, you can upgrade the certification to Open Water Diver at any time and at any PADI dive centre, just by completing the final sections of the theory and skills training not covered in the Scuba Diver course.
